About Spread the Spirit
Spread the Spirit is a theological research platform dedicated to exploring the unity of divine revelation across the biblical canon. Its work investigates how the themes of divine presence, divine agency, covenant fulfillment, and sacred habitation develop from Israel's Scriptures into the writings of the New Testament.
Rather than treating biblical books as isolated witnesses, the project examines Scripture as a coherent canonical narrative. Across the canon, recurring patterns of promise and fulfillment, exile and restoration, concealment and disclosure, temple and habitation, judgment and vindication are traced as expressions of a unified theological movement.
Particular attention is given to:
- The departure and return of divine glory
- Temple theology and sacred space
- The Arm of the LORD and divine agency
- The Right Hand of God and covenant kingship
- Divine presence in Christ and the Spirit
- Courtroom and judgment motifs in redemptive history
- The transition from localized sanctuary to Spirit-indwelt humanity
Recent studies explore the absence of kavod in Ezra–Nehemiah, the return of glory in Ezekiel, temple and presence language in Luke–Acts, sacred orientation and spatial symbolism, and the reinterpretation of divine dwelling within Second Temple Judaism.
At its center, Spread the Spirit investigates the biblical witness to God's progressive self-disclosure: the movement from mediated encounter toward divine habitation, culminating in the embodied revelation of Jesus Christ and the abiding presence of God among His people.
